Fjords is a two-phase tile-placing game.
In the first Phase, players explore the territory around them by placing hexagonal Landscape tiles and placing their clan's Long Houses on top of them.
In the second Phase, starting with the Long Houses, players send their Vikings across the territory to conquer as many plains as possible.

The winner of the game is the player who conquers more lands than the others. To win, you need strategic placements and the ability to plan your moves, in response to those of your opponents.

FAQ
In rare cases, you may find yourself continuing to draw Landscape tiles without being able to place any. We advise you not to put them back in the bag for the moment and to keep them aside; draw 4 new Landscape tiles as usual. When you find one that you can place and need to draw new ones, then return the ones you kept aside to the bag.
